Der ohnehin etwas abgestandene Begriff Singer/Songwriter wäre für Hadu Brand viel zu kurz gegriffen. Hört man seine CD „fourteen songs“, ist sofort klar, hier geht es nicht nur um exzellentes Songwriting, hier dreht sich alles um perfekte Arrangements, um hochwertige Studioaufnahmen und in erster Linie um Popmusik! 

Hadu Brand selbst nennt als seinen wichtigsten Einfluss Glen Hansard, den Bandleader von The Frames, mit dem zusammen er in Wien Musik gemacht hat, bevor die irische Band sich in den Pophimmel katapultierte. Weitere Namen, die der Künstler selbst nennt, sind Mic Christopher, David Gray and Damien Rice. You can hear in the arrangements but also Seventies Rock Cockney Rebel or Jobriath, and echoes of Leo Sayer and Harry Nilsson in their best moments. Since it is fitting that the German Rolling Stone Hadu Brands Glen Hansard model and its new project, The Swell Season has recently been localized between songwriter folk-pop and Seventies. Hadu fire has earned itself numerous gigs in Ireland, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, already a sizable fan base. The Gap würdigte his band as "one of the best live bands in the country." Even now! was impressed by the songwriting skills of Hadu fire, because the songs so no "to Schnitzelland klingen“.
